I am shocked that no one replied in the last 6 days. Maybe everyone
is on vacation?

There is a lot of work that the documentation project needs help with:
the easy is to start with a list of problems such as
https://wiki.freebsd.org/ThwackAFAQ - look for the red ones and follow
the instructions at the top to start sending patches. Don't worry
much now about formatting rules or things like that - we could help
you with that once you figure out how the toolchain works.

The way to get involved is to Just Start.

You absolutely don't *need* a mentor to start. The mentorship thing
is what happens when you do an awesome job a lot of times - someone
gets annoyed and offers you the opportunity to get a "commit bit"
(basically, another way of saying that you are responsible for your
own mistakes).
