Not really sure where to send this, but... One of the most common problems users have is getting sound working and one of the most common basic tests recommended is to cat(1) an audio file to /dev/audio; but there is no .au file in the base system. I think it would be a good idea to include one, it doesn't have to be a big file (there is a 3-second one included with python(1) that is only ~23KB), and give it a meaningful name, e.g. sound_test.au Thoughts? -- 4.4 - The number of the Beastie ________________________________________________________________ 51.44°N FreeBSD - The Power To Serve http://www.freebsd.org 2.057°W My Webpage http://ukug.uk.freebsd.org/~mark mailto:marko@freebsd.org http://www.radan.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
