            Bug ID: 236407
Summary: typo in the man page for chmod
           Product: Base System
           Version: 12.0-RELEASE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: misc
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: briansaia+bugs_freebsd_2323@protonmail.ch

when describing the 'op' symbols, specifically the '-' option; the following
line

"creation mask is clear, is cleared. Otherwise, the mode bits"

should be changed to=20

"creation mask is set, is cleared. Otherwise, the mode bits"

the minus '-' clears bits which are set so the documentation needs to be
corrected.

the more command says this line is at byte 6382.

--=20
