Here is my prompt in tcsh (.tcshrc)
set prompt="%B%n@%m (%l) %h %/ %#%b "
set prompt2="%B%n@%m %h %/ ++%b "
And in bash (.bashrc)
BLUE="\[\033[1;34m\]"
NO_COLOR="\[\033[0m\]"
PS1="${BLUE}\u@\h ('tty') \w \# ->${NO_COLOR} "
PS2="${BLUE}\u@\h \w \! ++${NO_COLOR} "
