https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D216372 Matthew Rezny <rezny@freebsd.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attachment #179228|0 |1 is obsolete| | --- Comment #4 from Matthew Rezny <rezny@freebsd.org> --- Created attachment 181127 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D181127&action= =3Dedit convert ASCII to UTF-8 outside C/POSIX locale It is obvious we should be handling the ASCII case like Linux and OS X. However, I do not think it wise to copy the Linux section wholesale as there may be unintended consequences to changing the handling of Korean and Japan= ese. Instead, I have taken the approach of make BSD be the same as Darwin. The handling of CP949 was identical but Darwin was already handling the ASCII->UTF-8 and we can just tack onto the #if instead of copying code. I h= ave verified this change corrects the issue observed in qTox. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
