Some time ago (in mid 2002) 3ware offered a native FreeBSD version. I also =
did=20
a port back in 2002 but it was never imported, instead another (at this poi=
nt=20
non working) version went into the ports tree.
I can't find my port any more but I remember wrestling with that wonderful=
=20
shell-archive....
