I have had some success, assign hard /dev/rad2c 19530 8 32 Works however fdisk sees only 24M of the disk (claims existing partition is 24M using 100% of disk) assign hard /dev/rad2c 4960 15 63 Works however fdisk sees a 24M partition using 6% of disk. The disk actuall contains a single partition and appears in dmesg: ad2: 2441MB <WDC AC22500L> [4960/16/63] sysinstall reports the othet geom.
