I have had some success,

assign hard /dev/rad2c 19530 8 32

Works however fdisk sees only 24M of the disk (claims existing partition is 24M
using 100% of disk)

assign hard /dev/rad2c 4960 15 63

Works however fdisk sees a 24M partition using 6% of disk.

The disk actuall contains a single partition and appears in dmesg:

ad2: 2441MB <WDC AC22500L> [4960/16/63]

sysinstall reports the othet geom.

Does anybody know which geometry limitations doscmd has inherited from the
PC/XT/AT?
