I don't believe this is true. It is something I have implemented in the past (see http://docs.FreeBSD.org/cgi/mid.cgi?4092A8EB.5090709 and PR kern/66425). If there is a way for dual console support to be enabled in a default install, it should probably be documented somewhere. Gavin
