I'm having trouble getting a brand new Accton EN1207 (Cheetah) to work on my FreeBSD 2.2.6-STABLE system. The adapter is detected as follows: de0 <Digital 21140A Fast Ethernet> rev 34 int a irq 5 on pci0:9:0 de0: ACCTON EN1207 21140A [10-100Mb/s] pass 2.2 de0: address 00:00:e8:4a:83:63 de0: enabling 100baseTX port I have set up the following in rc.conf.local: network_interfaces="lo0 de0 lp0" ifconfig_de0="inet 62.92.165.69 netmask 255.255.224.0" I have also tried: network_interfaces="lo0 de0 lp0" ifconfig_de0="inet 62.92.165.69 netmask 255.255.224.0 media 10baseT/UTP" IP, netmask, gateway, etc. are all correct - everything works perfectly with my old 3Com 3c509 (ep0). I get a link light on the hub when I connect to it - the hub and the cable are known to be working. If I try to ping the broadcast address, the link light will blink once a second (as one would expect) but it would seem that no data is getting through. I need to get this working within 24 hours if at all possible, so I'd appreciate a quick response from anybody who has experience with that adapter and/or chipset. -- fprintf(stderr, "I have a closed mind. It helps keeping the rain out.\n"); To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
