Yup - IE needs a dll, and the IPv6 kit comes with one for SP1 only , nothing above that. (sp2) So I'm stuffed with IE. It can't be changed on this machine anyway. And I can't change to XP. This is IE-6, and it's not aware of the IPv6 ... oh well Thanks Robert On Fri, Apr 19, 2002 at 06:08:29PM +1000, Robert wrote: > Thanks Edwin... > Well, at least someone can see it :-) It's set to answer only IPv6 enquiries > at the moment. > > and does IE understand IPV6? good question ? It's version 6, on W2K - but > that doesn't mean a lot. Internet Explorer 6.0 is ipv6 capable. In Windows XP you don't have to do anything, since ipv6 is supported nativly, but in Windows 2000 I seem to recall that you must install a .dll file (I think this is part of the ipv6 devel kit). > > Is there a browser that does ? > > thanks > Robert > > > On Fri, Apr 19, 2002 at 03:31:00PM +1000, Robert wrote: > > > > > > I have an apache-2 server running on > > > > > > ServerName ruby-v6.chalmers.com.au > > > Listen [2002:cb01:6005:2:240:5ff:fe4e:a982]:80 > > > > > > but connection to it simply gives an error. > > > > > > The W2K box I am running IE on is also on the 6to4 network, > > > > I assume you're using http://ruby-v6.chalmers.com.au in IE, but > > does IE understand IPv6? > > > > Your server is running without problems, youre'r unning Apache/2.0.32 > > with the default index.html :-) > > > > Edwin > > > > -- > > Edwin Groothuis | Personal website: http://www.MavEtJu.org > > edwin@mavetju.org | Interested in MUDs?
