Trying to use sdiff(1) on Solaris. Where you want your terminal to be as wide as possible so you can display the files you're diffing side by side, but you can't use emacs(1) as your $EDITOR because the way it shuffles around copies of the files to keep a backup version confuses sdiff(1). Better hope that the stuff you're diffing is less that 66 columns wide, so you can fit it in the maximum 132 columns that Solaris vi permits.
