I am trying to install the 5.2 for AMD64 on a Tyan S2882 dual processor with 4GB of RAM. The kernel panic when loading the asr driver form my Adaptec ZCR 2015S RAID. I have loaded 4.9 and 5.2 i386 with no problems on the exact same machine. FWIW I also installed SuSE 9.0 i386 without a problem, but when I tried SuSE 9.0 AMD64, it panicked with a page fault loding the dpt_i2o driver. Any ideas? My ultimate objective is to benchmark MySQL on 4.9, 5.2 i386, 5.2 amd64, as well as Suse in 32 and 64 bit mode using the latest 2.4 and 2.6 kernels. Paulhome | help
