Has anyone successfully configured FreeBSD 4.6-STABLE for the audio capture device (audio line in) that's in the Compaq Presario 7360? This device appears to be on the motherboard, and I believe it's an ESS Allegro PCI audio device. I tried the following options PNPBIOS device pcm but with no success. I got the following messages on boot: /kernel: pci0: <unknown card> (vendor=0x109e, dev=0x0878) at 10.1 irq 10 /kernel: pci0: <unknown card> (vendor=0x125d, dev=0x1988) at 13.0 irq 5 [...] /kernel: unknown: <PNP0401> can't assign resources /kernel: unknown: <PNP0501> can't assign resources /kernel: unknown: <PNP0700> can't assign resources /kernel: unknown: <PNP0000> can't assign resources /kernel: unknown: <PNP0c02> can't assign resources /kernel: unknown: <PNP0303> can't assign resources I also tried this without the "options PNPBIOS", and also instead with device pcm0 at isa? irq 10 drq 1 flags 0x0 device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 but with no success in each case.
