I am under the impression that the cyc-Y and cyc-Z use just about the same communcation. Also, the cyc-Z allows you to use a serial port speed well in excess of 230,400 even though I have no idea why you would. I am quite impressed with my cyclades-Z, as the huge FIFO buffers seem to smooth out the uneven data flow accross the 'net.
