If so you can type "startx" to run it. If you didn't configure a window manager you can: cd /stand ./sysinstall That will bring up the graphical config program. I would advise that the first thing you do is to create a user account (see handbook or book) and do your experimenting and learning with that. With root you can screw everything up much too easily. The initial configuration will have to be done as root, however. There are a bunch of newbie docs on the web site that will be of use. Rob.
