It's not bad as you think. :-) ade and others already did the most of work
by bsd.autotools.mk and libtool15/files/*. Also, many Linux packages
already have patches for libtool 2.2 so if it's complicate patch then all
I have to do is search for patch. I am able to run Xorg, GNOME2, KDE3,
KDE4 and XFCE4 with no problem so far. The most major pain in ass is USB
in -CURRENT vs ports tree. ;-) However, I didn't have to create many
patches for libtool22 with over 800 ports installed, but it will be a
different story with over 20k ports.

--------------------------------------------
$ pkg_info | wc -l
      804

$ find /usr/ports -name patch-libtool22
/usr/ports/databases/gdbm/files/patch-libtool22
/usr/ports/games/libggz/files/patch-libtool22
/usr/ports/misc/kdeedu3/files/patch-libtool22
/usr/ports/www/apache22/files/patch-libtool22 <-- took from Debian with a
bit tweak, but it's fixed in Apache repository.
--------------------------------------------

The reason why I do libtool22/libltdl22 is that newer version of
pulseaudio needs it. The development version of GNOME needs newer
pulseaudio. Also, I already have hit two tarballs that need newer libtool
when I ran ./autogen.sh.

When it's ready for public. I will send a message in list for request
tester, feedback, review and etc. Also need to test in pointyhat-exp.

Cheers,
Mezz
