I am about to start using a Web chache. Is there a special reason why you´re looking for a Squid replacement? Is there any shortcomings in using Squid? -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG [mailto:owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of mika ruohotie Sent: Miércoles, 24 de Enero de 2001 06:41 To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Subject: web caching apologies in case my 1st post already arrived (i didnt see it, sent it two days ago) on this list. i'm looking for a squid replacement, and am wondering if anyone have tried inktomi 4.0. even tho they dropped the fbsd support after 3.5, i'd be interested if it's possible to still run inktomi on freebsd. any other suggestions on an environment with average of 20000 requests per second, peaks lots more.
