I'm just installing myself a new workstation, and I'm running into some unexpected, very irritating, problems with Eterm (and any other terminal I've tried that isn't xterm, for that matter). I use a Danish keyboard, set up like this in XF86Config: | Option "XkbRules" "xfree86" | Option "XkbModel" "pc105 | Option "XkbLayout" "dk" This allows me to type accented characters, euro-symbols and all sorts of things in all X-applications (well, the ones I've tried), except for Eterm, Rxvt etc. Xterm works fine. When I try to type an 'é', for example (I hit the key with the accents on it, followed by the e), I get '´e' on my screen in Eterm. Xterm has no problems with this. The really odd bit about all this, is that when I start an Eterm (or an rxvt, or...) from within an other terminal -- as opposed to adding an item to my WindowMaker menu and clicking it -- everything works as I expect it to work. Any ideas on how I might fixed this? I've tried fiddling with my X11 symbols, compiling Eterm manually, instead of using the ports, with all sorts of options, played with my .Xdefaults, all to no avail.
