Note that, while the first forms shown are always wrong, the second
form shown is not necessarily right.

When used as a modifier (e.g., a ______ DIMM, a ______ CPU, etc.),
unit-carrying quantities should be hyphenated.

(I don't want to get into the Mi/Ki silliness here, but the style
guide should say clearly one way or the other.)
