Hackers, I am trying to sort out some issues with the newpcm driver, and before I go traipsing around the source base I thought I should ask whether anyone has had any luck resolving this (no sense reinventing the wheel). I have a CS461x (which apparently is a 4614, 4622, or 4624) sound chip. In the kernel config, I specify 'device pcm' and 'device csa': I have tried many permutations configurationwise, probably too many to list. Playing an MP3 file pauses for a few moments, throws three "pcm0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead" errors, and on subsequent attempts, /dev/dsp is locked. My development platform is a ThinkPad 570E. I have built 4.2-RELEASE, 4.2-STABLE, and 5.0-CURRENT (as of last night), and the problem exists on all platforms. Just wanted to see whether anyone else was working on this problem, or had a solution to it, before I started to seriously take a look at it. Cheers, /gdm To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
