Hello, > I have one question. > Why /usr/X11R6/include/X11 exists? For historical reasons (and I think it's Right Thing) all X system includes goes to include/X11 and applications use #include <X11/*.h> Third party applications must use include/app/ or include/, so we just -I${X11BASE}/include -I${X11BASE}/include/app. Qt applications use #include <qt.h>. At my POV, for example, KDE must use include/kde and not install include files directly in ${PREFIX}/include. And another question: Should we _strongly_ push X applications to use ${LOCALBASE} as ${PREFIX}, leave ${X11BASE} for only X11 system staff? I prefer using ${X11BASE} as ${PREFIX} for _all_ X related applications, but.. What your opinions?
