Thanks. I run gdm2 on -stable with the nVidia driver, and it does work. So if there's a problem, it's either with the driver on -CURRENT or in your gdm config. Try copying /usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/factory-gdm.conf over /usr/X11R6/etc/gdm.conf, and see if your problem persists.
