I was very happy to see the JDK 1.1.5 article on the FreeBSD-announce list this morning. Though I don't immediately plan any Java programming myself, there is an app distributed internally here which requires the AWT under a web browser, and which I really want to be able to run under FreeBSD/XFree -- already works under OS/2, Macs, etc. My understanding is that in the recent past, the AWT part of the JDK was not working, and the announcement didn't specifically say. Has this been fixed, or must I have more patience? Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post -- I can ask on the -questions list if you prefer.
