You have to do a 'atacontrol detach > "channelOfTheFailedDrive"' > and 'atacontrol attach "channelOfTheFailedDrive"' then 'atacontrol rebuild > ar0' This was only for the sil0680 chipset. HPT372 e.g. is completley unsupporte= d=20 in -stable. I've never tried ataraid with "non-raid" controllers but I doubt that=20 detach/attach would work. I asked S=F8ren about the missing addspare in -st= able=20 but never got any answer. I just had extreme problems with ataraid on -current and am awaiting some=20 response about these issues, I just can hope that some time ataraid will be= =20 lifted to what the man page promises. =2DHarry > -------------------------------------------------------------------- --Boundary-02=_teH6A29HefxzE+f Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBA6HetBylq0S4AzzwRAmo+AJ9/bqcUC4EIZpkbZaXihzPwX+m8sACdH5ZM FhNnG/a8a1p6/vLyX4sOQzE= =q3Jc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Boundary-02=_teH6A29HefxzE+f--
