The following may be somewhat off topic, but I have some problems with my new P6NP5 motherboard from ASUS and a PPro-200 (256k). When I run the C-linpack or other floating point stuff I can't get more than 14 MFLOPS (with double precision). With single precision I get 69 MFLOPS which is fine. Is it notmal that the P6 has such a lousy double precision performance? What can the reason be? The system has 64 MB EDO-RAM. And yes, all caches are enabled. The C-linpack is compiled with cc from -current (version 2.7.2.1). pgcc doesn't help. The C-linpack doesn't use any special library routine except the floor function. It would be nice if someone with a P6-200 could send me some results of FP benchmarks. BTW, Dhrystone 2.1 delivers 432000 dhrystones/second. Is this ok? TIA for your help. Robert
