If it was up to= =20 me no daemons (big network daemons) would be in the base system (well no= =20 daemon for FTP, SMTP, but syslogd should be there as there is no good=20 alternatives). But we have a ftpd in the base system (and sadly sendmail= =20 is also there), so why aren't there a mod_ssl for ftpd? Bwt, what is the difference between SSL and TLS, and if I were to make a= =20 ftpd which one should I chose and where can I find a SSL/TLS programming= =20 tutorial.
