Hello, I use FreeBSD-2.1 as NIS client I run ypbind, and added an entry in the end of master.passwd using vipw as follows: +::::::::: and +::: in the /etc/group. The server is SunOS4.1.3 which is not using shadow passwords. ypcat and other YP services work just fine, but I can't login as regular user, because I think it can't get password entry. How can I disable this security feature, i.e. master.passwd and spwd.db ? Help please ! /-----------------------------------------------------------------\ | \\ Yuri Gindin <yuri@xpert.com> http://www.xpert.com/~yuri | | \\ // || Home: +972-4-282475 | | \\ // ___ ___ ___||__ Work: +972-4-545259 | | \// / --\ / --\ / --||-- Internet | | //\ || \\// __/ || || S/W Development | | // \\ ||__//\\____ || \\__ Network Integration | | ==//===\\||======================= System Administration | \---------\||-------UNIX Systems LTD------------------------------/
