Someone is likely to mention to you that this forum (newbies@) is more of a place for people to discuss their experiences than to ask questions...the place for that it the questions@ list. However, I'll give you a hint. This is called a 'virtual desktop', and the size is set in your XFree86 Config file after the keyword "Virtual." But, I'll also mention, it's the m/l *normal* way that XFree runs a desktop. It could just be that that *other* company made us get used to something different.
