Um, that doesn't answer the question.  He said he made world and
rebooted, so the new libraries should be in the place and in the ld.so 
hints file.

Lauri, what does "ldconfig -r | grep libc\\." say?  Also, we'd like to
see the output of "ls -l /usr/lib/libc.*".
