Or, is the problem with some other component of the OS? Yes- this is related to the Xp1000 port, not the Sym driver. And, no, I don't know whether it's been fixed. It doesn't really matter, though, because insofar as I know, the XP1000 doesn't have an onboard SYM- it has a Qlogic ISP chip. But you don't have to attach to that (which does, btw, have problems in FreeBSD 4.0 that are still not quite resolved).
