Installation hung right at ports install; installing without ports got same result. Message: "panic: page fault syncing disks..... 33 33 33 33 33 33 33 (etc) giving up on 1 buffers" VT number 2 showed a timeout problem I tried the fix suggested at the freebsd.org site: FreeBSD 4.6-RELEASE Errata, 3 Late-Breaking News (regarding "enter 3 lines at the ok prompt"), to fix the AOpen CD drive problem: same result. Installation was successful only after I pulled the AOpen 52X CDROM and replaced it with a HP 8X. FreeBSD 4.5 was installed previously (with the AOpen 52X CD drive) without any complications at all. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
