I'm using FreeBSD 2.2.6 on a Toshiba Tecra 730 CDT attached
to a Toshiba Desk Station Plus. Using Lugigi Rizzo's sound
driver I am able to play audio cd's using the mixer, but
I am unable to hear any other forms of audio. Vat shows
the reception of RTP audio packets on the sound meter but
there is no sound. When I try to "cat file.au > /dev/audio"
there is no sound. I've also tried the voxware drivers
using soundblaster but get similar results.

This soundcard is not PnP (or cannot be configured as one).

I've configured the sound using Luigi Rizzo's driver as:

device pcm0 at isa? port ? tty irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 vector pcmintr

the dmesg extract is:

pcm0 at 0x530 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0xa415 on isa
mss_attach <mss>0 at 0x530 irq 5 dma 1:5 flags 0xa415

the output of cat < /dev/sndstat is:

FreeBSD Audio Driver (980215) Jul 23 1998 13:14:30
Installed devices:
pcm0: <mss> at 0x530 irq 5 dma 1:5

Suggestions please?

TIA,
George
