For your information: the Sony CDU 31A (and 33A) CD-ROMs aren't ATAPIs, they
need a proprietary controller, or a sound card with that controller - as
some older Sound Blaster cards (some sound cards have Mitsumi, Panasonic
(aka Matsusita), and Sony interfaces) - I have a CDU33A, on a SB Vibra16.
Well, these CD-ROM drives are supported under FreeBSD with the scd driver,
made once between 2.0.5 and 2.1.0.
