I'm trying to get the Efficient speedstream 3010 card to work (ef driver) I have a setup of 2 PCs with with each one such card and a crossed cable (the cable works, because it works under Windoze) The card is detected as: ef0: <Efficient Networks Lanai based ATM> irq 11 at device 14.0 on pci0 ef_attach: seeprom=\M^A MAC=00:20:ea:02:73:f2 I do: foo# ifconfig ef0 inet 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.252 up foo# route add -iface 10.0.0.2 -link ef0:0.0.0.c and bar# ifconfig ef0 inet 10.0.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.252 up bar# route add -iface 10.0.0.1 -link ef0:0.0.0.c Now, a ping doesn't work. The counters given by 'netstat -I ef0' show only output packets; no input packets nor errors. Anyone has a hint where to look further ? (I'm currently not following this list) Thanks a lot, -- Wim Livens. Alcatel - Corporate Research Center wim.livens@alcatel.be Fr.
