The conclusion of various discussions and confcalls was that there was no way to make .ICE-unix be owned by root reasonably from X.Org's side, so distros would have to be responsible for it. I guess the question is whether the rc script that does that, along with the /tmp cleanup, should live in the base system or in the port.
