hi, The article looks pretty good, but there are a couple of things I would like to point out... :-) Comments: Looks Great! Comments/Suggestions/Fixes/Moral Support: :-) 1) It would be good if you had an 'intro' section which layed out information on what an a.out and an ELF (Executable and Linkable Format) are and a bit of goodies and badies about them. 2) I think a CTM method should also be added, but this is only my opinion.. If others think that it is not neccessary then we can ignore that. 3) You could point out a link to the 'cdrtools' port so it is easier to navigate through the article to the port, if the user hasn't installed it. 4) The term 'bios' should be technically 'BIOS' an should be marked up with an <acronym> tag. This will also make it stand out. All <acroynms> should be marked up.. :-) (sorry for the bluntness) 5) Should the term in section 2 be 'presuming' or 'assuming'? I am not sure. 6) You should also markup the command dd(1) to : &man.dd.1; 7) I think it would be also good if you had given a pointer to the /usr/share/examples/cvsup/<supfiles>. This would let users just grab the file and modify it to point to their mirrors or whatever. 8) The 'base (Files at the top of/usr/src' in section 3.1.1 needs a closing bracket. 9) You could also outline a techqnique that people can just link up there /usr/src directory to a different partition on a different drive, if they are running low on space for /usr partition and have a partition which has enough space for the /usr/obj and /usr/src partitions. 10) References to cvsup should be marked with either <filename> tag or the &man.<prog>.<section>; entity. 11) All references to 'cvsup' should be changed to CVSup for technical and techno-grammatic reasons. :-) thats about it.. I found a couple of spelling errors and grammar errors, but it is way too tedious to outline them in this mail... I think it would be good if you pass me the SGML file for this article, I can quickly make the patches and send them back to you... let me know.. thanks, regards, =Hiten =<hiten@uk.FreeBSD.org> ===== SSH Fingerprint: 1024 45:a5:9c:f2:fb:07:da:70:18:02:0b:f3:63:f1:7a:a6 hitenp@hpdi.ath.cx __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
