  It works now, just very slowly (about 1.5 to 2.0 MB/s).  It appears 
that this a result of asynch transfers (during bootup it states "async 
only" rather than "sync", or better yet "fast sync").  I suspect the 
problem may lie with the onboard BIOS as it is newest that anyone's seen.
