Well, this is confusing. You say you had Norton do a virus check.
Norton reports the virus is in your BIOS, and, your C: and D: drive.
You also seem to suggest that the virus was on your system before
you installed FreeBSD.

So, how is it that you suspect that there is a virus
on the FreeBSD CD?

Can't help you. You state that you had problems before
you installed FreeBSD.  So, I can't think of any
way to help with a problem like this except to replace
your BIOS.
