First:

g1-48(15.0-C)[34] date -u && vmstat -i | grep -i iich && date

I then wiggled my finger on the touchpad for a few seconds, then:

g1-48(15.0-C)[35] date -u && vmstat -i | grep -i iich && date
Sat Oct 26 23:53:32 UTC 2024
irq51: iichid0                         1          0
Sat Oct 26 16:53:32 PDT 2024

I then wiggled the trackpoint a bit, then pressed/released mouse button 1,
then:
g1-48(15.0-C)[36] date -u && vmstat -i | grep -i iich && date
Sat Oct 26 23:53:49 UTC 2024
irq51: iichid0                         1          0
Sat Oct 26 16:53:49 PDT 2024
