This is for the archives in case someone else runs into this. I did a reread through /usr/share/sendmail/cf/README and found the following clue under the description of the genericstable FEATURE: Notice: if you use an MSP (as it is default starting with 8.12), the MTA will only receive qualified addresses from the MSP (as required by the RFCs). Hence you need to add your domain to class {G}. It turns out that I had to add the fully qualified host name of the machine in a GENERICS_DOMAIN macro, ie. GENERICS_DOMAIN(`fully.qualified.host.name') I guess I should have been doing this with previous versions of sendmail but it always worked before so I did not realize it. Thanks to those who tried to help with this. -- Glenn Johnson USDA, ARS, SRRC Phone: (504) 286-4252 New Orleans, LA 70124 e-mail: gjohnson@srrc.ars.usda.gov To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
