I'll try installing the package from the 4.10-RELEASE CD-ROM and see if this works differently. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to read the source and see why the behavior your truss shows happens. I might have to ask you for a few more traces (truss and/or ktrace output) if you have a bit of time to grab the logs for me. - Giorgos
