In the past, the BSD patches were not submitted back because 99.9% are BSD specific, and Sun is not interested in being the maintainer of the BSD changes. For the other .1% of the patches, they are almost always gleaned from Linux sources or also apply there, so they are usually also fixed in later releases from Sun. Natehome | help
