I looked into the ffmpeg's git repo and found that the upstream already had a patch to address the issue at: https://git.ffmpeg.org/gitweb/ffmpeg.git/commit/f1e9032a2000b8b885cffd6fed8eacd47b37673f The patch is for the master branch and not applicable to ffmpeg 6 as it is.
