They now defults to 'DogerBlue1' and 'SteelBlue1' apparently to improve contrast, according to the x.org changelog. $ xrdb -merge XTerm.vt100.color4: blue3 XTerm.vt100.color12: blue ^D $ xterm You could also put the two lines above in your .Xdefaults file, and make sure that this file is loaded on startup. /sve
