I don't often use these, but now that I ran them for a test, I seem to be having problems as well. However, I'm running current and for me it's the other way around: Maple 9.5.1 works, Matlab 7.0.1 doesn't. In my case I've nailed it down to a problem with ls. The following shell script works with /bin/sh, but not with /usr/compat/linux/bin/sh. In the latter case it errors out with: ls: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/librt.so.1: ELF file OS ABI invalid ---simple shell script--- #! /bin/sh ls ---end of simple shell script---
