I am trying to install a 4.9 RC2 on a new motherboard (Asus P4C800 Deluxe, system disk on an Adaptec 2940UW). This install is crashing while the kernel is booting (see message below). I don't think this is a hardware problem as I have successfully installed Windows 2000 on the same hardware. Do you have any idea of what can be wrong ?
