Hello, I reported a bug of sound system in 4-STABLE, i.e. kern/31398: > http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=31398 > > >Category: kern > >Responsible: freebsd-bugs > >Synopsis: newpcm does not play back the tail of sound > >Arrival-Date: Sun Oct 21 01:30:00 PDT 2001 If you play back any sound file, you cannot hear the tail, especially in the case that the sound file does not have enough silent portion at the end. That is, % cat hoge.au > /dev/audio does not play back the tail part. % cat hoge.au hoge.au > /dev/audio plays back the first completely, but the last. This problem exists at least in 4.4-RELEASE and in 4-STABLE, but 4.3-RELEASE. Any workaround? --- ----- Mamoru IWAKI (iwaki@bc.niigata-u.ac.jp) Graduate School of Science and Technology, Niigata University To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
