-P causes boot2 to probe for a keyboard (by checking the BIOS keyboard 
type flag), it'll then pass the result of this probe on to the loader.
The advantage with doing it this way is that it gets the system onto 
the right console as early as possible, giving you maximum stuffup 
survivability.
