https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=203423 Bug ID: 203423 Summary: [patch] Outdated Information In Porters Handbook, "Upgrading a Port" Page. Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Keywords: patch Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Documentation Assignee: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: vikash.freebsd@gmail.com Keywords: patch Created attachment 161503 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=161503&action=edit SVN diff file for chapter.xml Following paragraph from porters handbook, Upgrading a port (https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/porters-handbook/port-upgrading.html) need some updates. The next step is to see if there is an update already pending. To do this, there are two options. There is a searchable interface to the FreeBSD Problem Report (PR) or bug database. Select Ports Tree in the Product dropdown, and enter the name of the port in the Summary field. Updates :- 1. "Ports Tree" should be "Ports & Packages". 2. "dropdown" should be "multiple select menu". I have attached a SVN diff file with the proposed fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
