That's probably the dns resolver for www.freebsdmirrors.org;
freebsdmirrors.org uses dns records to determine which mirrors exist.

By the way, *.sg.freebsd.org wasn't in freebsdmirrors when I checked
recently, as is probably true for a number of other countries :)
